stick people killing each other

I have grown up, like many others, in an environment and society where no one was happy to tell me the simple fact that I am Muslim and I belong to Pakistan. It sounds strange but it is a fact, because we have a very strong sense of details we love to divide everything and go into lame details. As I was saying while I was growing up I was told that I am Sunni Muslim and I am better than the others, since then being a rebel I always questioned such statements and such assurances. That is why I always asked a question that is there any yard stick or a chemical test or any other thing that will decide that I am good as I belong to a certain sect and the other one is not because he is not from the sect I come from.

Islam never taught us to follow such class differences, I am not a scholar but what I have learned from Islam is a simple fact that Prophet Muhammad S.A.W. taught us to hold the string of Quran and Sunnat as tight as we can and this is the ultimate quality standard. But sadly we changed that parameter as well. Today we create hue and cry that everyone is against us everyone is trying to kill us but have we realized what we are doing since many years. Yes we have been killing each other in the name of sects and “real Islam”.

In Pakistan for last three decades or more we have been fighting with each other on different fronts. Such as the length of pants, where to put hands while offering prayer, and whether to or not to offer Durood and many others. We have also battled against many around us by being divided among the sects and given names to us like Shia, Wahabi, Suni, Barelvi, Deoband and the list goes on. Each and every one of us is right and the people from other sect are totally wrong, this is a mindset that has been created so far and distributed the battle fronts to every sect to invade and fight against each other.

Sometimes I think that we do not need any outsider enemy as we ourselves are sufficient for this job. Yesterday was the Martyrdom anniversary of Hazrat Ali R.A. the processions of people from Shia Sects been attacked in Karachi and Lahore. In Karachi there was firing and in Lahore there been three blasts taken place to do the job. In Lahore there have been a great unrest after the blast as people who were angry on the sad incident put a police station on fire, prevented the fire brigade and ambulance services to do their job.

As always someone came and claimed the responsibility of the whole fuss. I believe that we are all responsible for what happen yesterday and so far in the name of Shia and Sunni Rivalry. Some people say that such incidents take place to create the atmosphere of unrest between these two sects and the factors that do this job are something like “third party”. Okay fine I accept this theory but still we or I should say that I am responsible, because I never tried to be kind like brother what I am supposed to be towards the other being a Muslim. I created this space that now being filled by the blasts and such unrests.

It’s time to wake up and open eyes so far we have done so much wrong the so called third party is taking advantage of our differences. This attitude must come to an end, otherwise kill me first because I am not from your sect, I ask questions, I consider every one equal, and I consider all of us guilty. If I am the best among all the sects on the cost of this so called revelry then I don’t want to be the best. We have been being fooled by letting people to make us “Real Muslim” I think we should now try to be Pakistan and Muslim. Some people might call me nationalist, which I am not and I do not need to prove it to anyone, but I believe that Islam might not allow the nationalism but Islam promoted the Brotherhood so have we followed it?

Weiss: Earlier today I complained that Americans are not getting the news about what Israel is becoming. My endless complaint. Here is someone who can cut the corridor, as they say: Max Blumenthal, whose message from Jerusalem a year ago was killed and killed and killed but still it lived, and who is now exploring the violent underbelly of Israeli settler fundamentalism, which is completely supported by the government. Here he's writing about the origins of a tract that encourages the murder of goyim, and tying it into the genocidal speech toward Palestinians by leading Orthodox rabbi Ovadia Yosef the other day (not part of this excerpt). Terrorism, in front of our eyes:

As soon as it was published late last year, Torat Ha’Melech sparked a national uproar. The controversy began when an Israeli tabloid panned the book’s contents as “230 pages on the laws concerning the killing of non-Jews, a kind of guidebook for anyone who ponders the question of if and when it is permissible to take the life of a non-Jew.” According to the book’s author, Rabbi Yitzhak Shapira... “If we kill a gentile who has has violated one of the seven commandments… there is nothing wrong with the murder.”... Citing Jewish law as his source (or at least a very selective interpretation of it) he declared: “There is justification for killing babies if it is clear that they will grow up to harm us, and in such a situation they may be harmed deliberately, and not only during combat with adults.”

In January, Shapira was briefly detained by the Israeli police, while two leading rabbis who endorsed the book, Dov Lior and Yaakov Yosef, were summoned to interrogations by the Shabak. However, the rabbis refused to appear at the interrogations, essentially thumbing their noses at the state and its laws. And the government did nothing. The episode raised grave questions about the willingness of the Israeli government to confront the ferociously racist swathe of the country’s rabbinate...

In response to the rabbis’ public rebuke of the state’s legal system, the Israeli Attorney General and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu kept silent. Indeed, since the publication of

Torat Ha’Melech

, Netanyahu has strenuously avoided criticizing its contents or the author’s leading supporters. Like so many prime ministers before him, he has been cowed into submission by Israel’s religious nationalist community. But Netanyahu appears to be particularly impotent. His weakness stems from the fact that the religious nationalist right figures prominently in his governing coalition and comprises a substantial portion of his political base....

The disturbing philosophy expressed in Torat Ha’Melech emerged from the fevered atmosphere of a settlement called Yitzhar located in the northern West Bank near the Palestinian city of Nablus. Shapira leads the settlement’s Od Yosef Chai yeshiva, holding sway over a small army of fanatics who are eager to lash out at the Palestinians tending to their crops and livestock in the valleys below them. One of Shapira’s followers, an American immigrant named Jack Teitel, has confessed to murdering two innocent Palestinians and attempting to the kill the liberal Israeli historian Ze’ev Sternhell with a mail bomb. Teitel is suspected of many more murders, including an attack on a Tel Aviv gay community center.

Despite its apparent role as a terror training institute,

Od Yosef Chai has raked in nearly fifty thousand

dollars from the Israeli Ministry of Social Affairs since 2007, while the Ministry of Education has pumped over 250 thousand dollars into the yeshiva’s coffers between 2006 and 2007.

In welding terminology stick welding is the common name given to Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) or Arc Welding. One has to consider five basic aspects when selecting and working with stick welding process are called CLAMS

For example, CLAMS stands for:

C - Current setting L - Length of arc A - Angle of travel M - Manipulation S - Speed of travel

Current setting - The current setting or the amperage depends on the type of electrodes used. It is important to set the right current rating recommended for the particular electrode selected. This rating is indicated on the side of the electrode box. Most of the latest welding machines have a sticker or a label pasted which gives the appropriate amperage values for various electrode thicknesses that are commonly used.

Length of arc - It is important to choosing the right arc length to suit the electrode which you have selected for the intended welding task. This will prevent excess spatter and undercuts. Also, it is necessary to hold the electrode at the optimum distance from the welding area because if you hold it too close there will be sharp decrease in voltage resulting in poor weld. Similarly, the common mistake done by many newcomers to welding is holding the electrode too far resulting in lot of spatter. Hence, through constant practice will help anyone how to maintain the correct arc length and to have minimum splatter and beads.

Angle of travel - Holding the electrode at right angle will have minimum beads. It is important to note that by keeping the electrode at perpendicular position during the welding run will generate excessive beads.

Manipulation - If someone is interested in pursuing a career in welding, he should not only have a thorough knowledge of welding basics but also should continually build upon on the basics he has acquired. In essence, knowing your basics will certainly take you to many places as a professional and an experienced welder. However, constant observation, commitment, experimentation and innovation will certainly give anyone his own style and edge over others when performing the job.

Speed of travel - It is important to continually maintain the same speed of travel to produce good beads. Sometime, you may have to change the speed of travel to make sure that the arc stays within the specific or intended area. Also, note that high speeds of travel will create high crowns and undercuts. Similarly, excess speed of travel also have poor penetration and resulting in poor or week weld.

While considering the above essential aspects on stick welding, one must be prepared to learn from his mistakes. He should be prepared to go through the difficult rout and overcome challenges faced when becoming a professional welder. Only few will succeed in becoming very capable and experienced welders. The people who have succeed in welding profession are strong minded, committed and highly focused. Also, they strive for perfection and are committed to attention to detail. Another most important aspect of welding is to take adequate precaution on health and safety as welding processes are hazardous and risky. Hence, using the right safety equipment and gear is necessary for a good welder. The final note is that stick welding or any other welding job is a highly skilled and rewarding profession, hence it is vital for anyone to maser the all aspects of welding processes and be prepared to build on his mistakes.

joystick gameport

To set up a game port for your joystick in Linux, open the terminal, then run the command given below to access the input directory:Hi there,

Just quickly introducing myself before getting to business: I'm a long time Falcon fan, been playing it since its release back in... God knows when... I've been out of Falcon's world for the last few years due to RL commitments, but it seems that I'll have some spare time this year for a change, so...

Last weekend I went to my parents house to clean up some boxes with my old stuff from high school/college, etc, and I found some relics: a CH Throttle (gameport) in good shape, and a mint condition Thrustmaster F-16 FLCS. I remember using it just a dozen times, Suncom joysticks were my favorites back in the day, so I never gave the F-16 much use. I also found a Suncom F-15 Talon (or is it Eagle? Always confused the names, it's the fully programmable one), but I remember the pots were quite bad on this one.

Since I have no decent HOTAS at the moment (I sold my Cougar a year ago due to the lack of time to use it...), and now I have a bit of time in my hands to get back to Falcon, I decided to convert the CH Throttle and the F-16 FLCS to USB using Leo Bodnar's BU0836 (http://www.leobodnar.com/products/BU0836/). I would convert the Suncom, but replacement pots were hard to get back then, let alone these days, and having used the Cougar I got used to the F-16 stick's layout.

My experience with electronics is basically cleaning up spiking pots in my old joysticks, changing light bulbs and fixing my toaster (quite proud of the last one!), but after reviewing the info on Leo's website, it seems quite straight forward to me. Is there anyone here who have done something similar and might have some tips to share? I'd appreciate any comments!

Thanks!
Alex
